Simply The Story is Inductive Bible Study - Oral Style. The STS approach to Scripture seeks to address the reality that a vast majority of people throughout the world either must or prefer to learn in an oral style. Even though STS is an oral method of studying Scripture, STS takes the task of studying the Word very seriously. The accuracy of the spoken Word is stressed. Through guided discussion, significant depth of understanding the meaning of the text is reached. The truths of Scripture are discovered and then applied in the lives of those participating in the study.

Those trained in the STS method are equipped to tell Bible stories in an accurate, engaging way, lead deep, interactive discussions, use stories in life and ministry, reach out with the gospel in conversational ways, and replicate and multiply these skills in others.
